  • Kui leiutis puudutab kompositsiooni (segu, lahus, sulam, klaas jne), peavad näidetes olema ära toodud kompositsiooni koostisse kuuluvad ingrediendid, nende iseloomustus ja kvantitatiivne suhe ning kompositsiooni saamise viisi kirjeldus. Kui kompositsioonis kasutatakse ingrediendina mõnd uut ainet, kirjeldatakse ka selle saamise viisi.
  • Kompositsiooni tunnused on: 1) kvalitatiivne koostis; 2) kvantitatiivne koostis; 3) kompositsiooni struktuur; 4) ingredientide struktuur.
