1. For the purpose of this directive, 'merger by acquisition' shall mean the operation whereby one or more companies are wound up.
2. Class 4 'Accounts with third parties' shall record all operations with third parties and adjustment accounts.
3. The Member States' management and control systems should be such as to ensure efficient and proper implementation of the operations co-financed by the Structural Funds.
