  • Selle asutasid 1967 Stockholmis tööstusomandi kaitse Pariisi ning kirjandus- ja kunstiteoste kaitse Berni konventsiooniga (sõlmiti 9. IX 1886) ühinenud riigid. Aastast 1974 on WIPO ÜRO allasutus; keskus Genfis. Kõrgeim organ on peaassamblee.
