It must be possible to start, stop and reverse the vessel's propelling mechanism (propellors, wheels, etc.) quickly and safely.
Any method of propulsion may be used, provided that when the body block strikes the steering control it is free from all connection with the propelling device. The body block shall strike this control after an approximately straight trajectory parallel to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle.
