  • (1) Lastehoid on alushariduse riikliku õppekava alusel alushariduse omandamist võimaldav õppeasutus, kus turvalises, eakohases, mängulises ning arendavas õpi- ja kasvukeskkonnas hoitakse kuni seitsmeaastaseid lapsi ja toetatakse nende üldoskuste arengut. Lastehoius luuakse kuni kolmeaastase lapse arengu soodustamisel eeldused alushariduse omandamiseks lasteaias ning kolme- kuni seitsmeaastase lapse arengu soodustamisel toetatakse perekonda eelduste loomisel põhihariduse omandamiseks ja edukaks edasijõudmiseks igapäevaelus.
