(1) Lastehoid on alushariduse riikliku õppekava alusel alushariduse omandamist võimaldav õppeasutus, kus turvalises, eakohases, mängulises ning arendavas õpi- ja kasvukeskkonnas hoitakse kuni seitsmeaastaseid lapsi ja toetatakse nende üldoskuste arengut.
