Üldjuhul mõeldakse soomusüksuste all tankiüksusi, soomustatud luureelemente ja rasketel jalaväe lahingumasinatel liikuvat jalaväge.

This generally refers to main battle tanks, armoured reconnaissance elements and infantry mounted in heavy, armoured fighting vehicles. If heavy or medium force has a preponderance of main battle tanks, the force will likely be considered an armoured force.
Armoured Forces (Armour and Mechanized Infantry) During UO, armoured troops fight in close coordination with infantry and combat support troops. Armoured forces are particularly well-suited for rapid, object-related approaches thanks to the following capabilities: - Protection provided by Main Battle Tanks (MBT), Armoured Combat Vehicles (ACV) and Armoured Infantry Fighting Vehicles (AIFV) - Operational effectiveness provided by a broad spectrum of weapons and effectors - Ability to fight both mounted and dismounted.
These formations will be similarly structured, to include infantry, armour, field and air defence artillery, engineers, communications, medical, military police, intelligence and combat service support units.
