- On tingitud süsiniku austeniidis lahustuvuse vähenemisest jahtumisel. Eeleutektoidtsementiit esineb rauasüsinikusulamite struktuuris struktuurselt vaba tsementiidina st tsementiidina mis ei ole perliidi koostises (vt austeniit, tsementiit, perliit, vaba tsementiit)

cementite precipitating from austenite upon cooling below Acm (1147 - 727 oC) and exists in addition to pearlite in hypereutectoid steels (see: cementite, free cementite, austenite, pearlite, hypereutectoid steel; compare: primary cementite, tertiary cementite)
Good to know
- This is a result of decrease of the carbon solubility in austenite upon cooling. Proeutectoid cementite is a separate, structurally free constituent in iron-carbon alloys i.e. not in association with cementite in pearlite. (see: austenite, cementite, pearlite, free cementite)
