  • tavapärase madalsüsinikterasega võrreldes kõrgendatud mehaaniliste omadustega ja/või atmosfäärikorrosioonikindlusega teras (vt madalsüsinikteras, madallegeerteras, kõrgtugev teras)
    Good to know
    • Sellistelt madalsüsinikterastelt (kuni 0,3% C) eeldatakse kindlat mehaaniliste omaduste taset, seadmata tingimusi keemilise koostisele. Legeerivate elementide (Mn, Si, Cr, Ni, Mo, P jt) sisaldus on tavaliselt kuni 1%.
  • steels designed to provide better mechanical properties and/or greater resistance to atmospheric corrosion than conventional low-carbon steels (see: low- carbon steel, low-alloy steel, high-strength steel)
    Good to know
    • Such low carbon steels (up to 0.3% C) commmonly are not considered to be alloy steels in the normal sense because they are designed to meet specific mechanical properties rather than a chemical composition while the chemical composition of a specific steel may vary for different product thicknesses to meet mechanical property requirements. Usually the content of alloying elements (Mn, Si, Cr, Ni, Mo, P etc) in such steels is up to 1%.
high-strength low-alloy steel preferred
high-strength low-alloy structural steel
HSLA steel
HSLA-steel
