Based in Kabul, the ISAF Headquarters interacts with all levels of the Government of Afghanistan, its security agencies and the international bodies, Governmental and non Governmental Organisations present in the country to support the Government and assist with reconstruction. It liaises with and assists in the work of the UN, the Afghan Transitional Authority, and governmental and non-governmental organisations.
