velocity
  • vektorsuurus v = dr/dt, kus r on positsioon ja t on aeg
    Good to know
    • Vektor (kolmemõõtmelises ruumis), mille suunaks on liikumissuund ja mille moodul näitab liikumise intensiivsust.
  • vector quantity v = dr/dt, where r is position vector and t is time
kiirus
Usage examples
  • Kiirus on seotud asendivektoris kirjeldatud punktiga, mis võib lokaliseerida osakese või olla kinnitatud mis tahes muu objekti külge, näiteks keha või laine külge ja sõltub võrdlusoleku valikust.
v symbol
Usage examples
  • Kiiruse tähis füüsikas ja metroloogias on kaldtäht v, vektoriaalse suuruse korral v ülaosaknoolega.
velocity
Usage examples
  • The velocity is related to a point described by its position vector. The point may localize a particle, or be attached to any other object such as a body or a wave. The velocity depends on the choice of the reference frame.
v symbol
Usage examples
  • The symbol for velocity in physics and metrology is the italic letter v; for a vector quantity, it is v with an arrow above it.
