Domain metrologymeasuring procedures
  • mõõtemeetod, mille korral voog läbib kahe elemendi vahelist muutruumi, kuid mitte alati rõngakujulist ruumi
  • method in which flow passes trough a space (usually, but not always, an annular space) between two elements
muutpindalameetod
Usage examples
  • Muutpindalameetodi korral on elemendid paigutatud nii, et vedelikudünaamilised jõud liigutavad mõõteelementi teise elemendi suhtes piirava jõu (gravitatsioonilise või elastse) toimel nii, et ruumi ristlõikepindala suureneb vookiiruse suurenedes, kusjuures kasutatava mõõtevahendi näit on kas liikuva mõõteelemendi nihke ulatus „voota“ asendist või rõhuerinevus muutuva pindala ulatuses.
variable-area method
Usage examples
  • The elements of the variable-area method are so arranged that fluid-dynamic forces move one element relative to the other against the action of a restraining force (gravitational, or elastic) in such a manner that the cross-sectional area of the space increases as the flow-rate increases. The readout of the instrument is either a measure of the displacement of the movable element from the "no flow" position or a measure of the differential pressure across the variable area.
