Rööptoimingu gaasiarvestite võrdluse põhjal saab torujutmeteguri arvutada kogu gaasimahu põhjal põhitingimustel teatud ajaperioodi, nt tunni, päeva jne, jooksul, kasutades valemit Coij = (Vlx Nl)/Vtot, kus Coij on torujuhtmetegur, Vl on kõnealuse torujuhtme l kaudu läbitud maht, N on toimivate torujuhtmete arv ja Vtot on kõigi toimivate torujuhtmete kaudu läbitud maht.
