Mõõdetud joonpaisumisteguri väärtuse saab hankida akrediteeritud mõõtelabori kalibreerimisteenust või nõuetekohaselt läbi viidud katseid kasutades. Tähisele αm lisatakse indeksid, mis tähistavad mõõdetava osise mõõdetud lineaarpaisumistegurit αmmo ja tööetaloni mõõdetud lineaarpaisumistegurit αmet.
Measured coefficient of thermal expansion can be obtained from the calibration servoce of an accredited measurement laboratory or from properly performed experiments. To the symbol αm are added subscripts to denote the measured coefficient of thermal expansion for the workpiece (i.e. αmw) and the working standard (i.e. αms).
