An accredited calibration laboratory is a laboratory that demonstrates its continuing competence in the field of calibration and/or testing in accordance with the general requirements for competence of the ISO/IEC 17025 standard, and that has been regularly audited by an independent third party and has proven that the laboratory meets the requirements of the standard's management and technical systems, and that the laboratory has sufficient measuring instruments to perform tests or calibrations, and that the laboratory has technically competent personnel to perform calibrations and/or tests.
