As stated throughout this book, space mining and space-based manufacturing will require addressing sufficient scientific, technical, and engineering issues to occupy armies of scientists and engineers for decades to come.
Off-world mining will initially parallel its terrestrial counterpart, then become our main supplier of resources. Remember in the lifeless vacuum of space, resource mining is environmentally harmless.
