Raamatupidamise seaduse kohaselt koostatud aruande esitusvaluutaks on Eestis ametlikult kehtiv vääring. Üldjuhul toimub ka Eesti ettevõtete majandustehingute jooksev arvestus Eestis ametlikult kehtivas vääringus (arvestusvaluuta), kuna selle vääringu kasutamine võimaldab kõige objektiivsemalt peegeldada Eesti majanduskeskkonnaga seotud riske.
