  • the outline is a presentational document, which briefly describes and defines the parameters of the script - genre, plot, setting, main characters and potenital audience. It is normally 2-5 pages long and serves to evoke interest in developing the script. An internal outline is similar but its purpose is to succictly explore and/or explain the story.
