Eesti loetleb oma positsioonis 11 kalandusalast kokkulepet ja konventsiooni, milledest tulenevad õigused kalapüügikvootidele Eesti soovib säilitada ka Euroopa Liidu liikmena. Näidetena võib tuua Eestile kui Rahvusvahelise Läänemere Kalanduskomisjoni (IBSFC) liikmesriigile eraldatud Läänemere räime, kilu, tursa ja lõhe üldkvoodi osad, Loode-Atlandi Kalandusorganisatsiooni (NAFO) raames Eestile kui liikmesriigile eraldatud püügipäevade kvoot krevetipüügil ning õiguse püüda kala nn blokk-kvoodi piires koos Läti, Leedu ja Vene Föderatsiooniga.
