A decision may be taken in accordance with the procedure referred to in Article 24(2) in particular with a view to adjust the age for the removal of bovine vertebral column, in the light of the statistical probability of the occurrence of BSE in the relevant age groups of the Community's bovine population, based on the results of BSE monitoring, with particular reference to testing bovine animals, as established by Annex III.
