The determination of the soil granulometry is mandatory. The particle size fractions are: 2 micrometers, 2-63 micrometers, 63-2000 micrometers (FAO). If 50 micrometers is used to separate silt and sand fractions, conversion to 63 micrometers limit has to be done.
