They shall in particular lay down: (a) a list of arable crops on which area payments may be granted at the rate for the irrigated yield; (b) a description of the irrigation equipment which the farmer must have at his disposal; such equipment must be commensurate with the area concerned and must allow for the supply of the water needed for the normal development of plants during their growth cycle; (c) the relevant irrigation period.
