However, at the manufacturer's request, the item may be mounted on a fitting simulating its installation on the vehicle, on condition that the "component/fitting" assembly has the same geometrical arrangement and a degree of rigidity not lower and on energy-dissipating capacity not higher than those of the real "component/structural supporting member" assembly.
