Käesoleva seaduse reguleerimisala on vaba ettevõtluse huvidest lähtuva konkurentsi kaitsmine loodusvarade kaevandamisel, toodete valmistamisel ja teenuste osutamisel ning toodete ja teenuste (edaspidi kaubad) ostmisel ja müümisel ning muus äritegevuses konkurentsi takistamise, piiramise või kahjustamise (edaspidi kahjustamine) ärahoidmine ja kõrvaldamine.
