Sobivad sõnad on nii greider kui ka teehöövel. Võõrsõna greider tuleb inglise keelest jaon küll lühem, kuid kasutuses harvem. Pikem liitsõna teehöövel võib mõnes kontekstis olla kergemini mõistetav ja on kasutuses sagedam.
Eesti keele ühendkorpuse (2023) järgi on kasutuses sagedam teehöövel (82%), vähem esineb greider (18%).
