The term "registered partnership" in the UK refers to a commercial partnership (Limited Liability Partnerships Act 2000). In Ireland a statutory civil partnership registration scheme for same-sex couples has been setup under the Civil Partnership and Certain Rights and Obligations of Cohabitants Act 2010.
