Käesolev määrus kohaldab Nõukogu määruse (EMÜ) nr 3821/85 autovedudel kasutatavate sõidumeerikute kohta (EÜT L 370, 31.12.1985, lk 8–21) lisa I kohase mehaanilise sõidumeeriku ja lisa IB kohase digitaalse andmesalvestusega sõidumeeriku (edaspidi digitaalne sõidumeerik) osas kehtestatud nõudeid.

When digital recording equipment is introduced driver and vehicle data will be stored electronically and data will be able to be evaluated electronically on the spot.
