Each Member State shall ensure that only meat products complying with the following general conditions are sent from its territory to the territory of another Member State: ... (4) they must have been prepared by heating, salting or drying, which processes may be combined with smoking or maturing, possibly under specific microclimatic conditions, and associated, in particular, with certain curing agents within the meaning of Article 12.
