continuing education - formal education obtained after the completion of all degree programs and after entering a field of practice. It may be required of health care professionals for continuing licensure.
The competent authorities or bodies of the host Member State, having assessed the content and duration of the training of the person concerned on the basis of the diplomas, certificates and other evidence of formal qualifications submitted, and taking into account any professional experience, additional training and continuing dental education that he possesses, shall inform him of the period of additional training required and of the fields to be covered by it.
