Domain telecommunications networks - telecommunications services

  • killukiirus - otsejada-spektrilaotuse meetodite puhul (vt. DSSS ja CDMA ) nimetatakse killukiiruseks laotatud signaali bittide ehk kildude arvu sekundis. Kildude (bittide) arv laotatud signaalis on oluliselt suurem kui andmebittide arv.
  • chip rate - in direct sequence spread spectrum technologies such as DSSS and CDMA, it is the number of bits per second (chips per second) used in the spreading signal. A different spreading signal is added to the data signal to code each transmission uniquely. The number of chips (bits) in the spreading signal is significantly greater than the data bits. Chip rate is measured in "megachips per second" (Mcps), which is millions of chips per second.

  • The Galileo secured governmental service in the 1559-1610 MHz band using a Binary Offset Carrier (BOC) cosine phased modulation with a 15.345 MHz sub-carrier frequency and a code rate of 2.5575 mega-chips per second (Mcps) centered at 1575.42 MHz (cosine phased BOC (15, 2.5)), and a signal power as specified in the document, referred to below, entitled "Reference Assumptions for GPS/Galileo Compatibility Analyses.
