  • Tänavu 25. tegevusaastat tähistav Maailma Turismiorganisatsioon (WTO) saatis läinud aasta detsembris ÜRO statistikakomisjonile kinnitamiseks uue metoodika turismi majandusmõju arvestamiseks. WTO poolt välja töötatud turismi satelliitarve metoodika võimaldab hinnata turismi osa majanduses esmakordselt samadel alustel teiste majandusharudega ning annab riikide kohta täpseid võrreldavaid andmeid.
