It is for Member States to decide whether their territory should be divided, and if so, into how many regions; whereas, however, as intervention for beef in the United Kingdom is separate for Great Britain and for Northern Ireland, the regions decided upon in the United Kingdom should cover exclusively Great Britain or Northern Ireland.
