Throughout the period in which the unit of measurement (pound per bushel) lawfully in use in Ireland and in the United Kingdom at the date of accession continues to be authorized, the term "EEC standard mass per storage volume" may be employed to characterize cereals which have been measured in Ireland or in the United Kingdom by the instruments and methods in use in those countries.
