"Polygeneration" activities will contribute to the Community target of doubling the share of co-generation (CHP) in EU electricity generation from 9% to 18% by 2010, and improve the efficiency of combined production of electricity, heating and cooling services, by using new technologies such as fuel cells and integrate renewable energy sources.
