Notwithstanding Article 3, the regions covered by Objective 1 in 1999 pursuant to Regulation (EEC) No 2052/88 which are not referred to in the second subparagraph of Article 3(1) and (2) of this Regulation shall continue to receive support from the Funds under Objective 1 on a transitional basis from 1 January 2000 to 31 December 2005. At the time of adoption of the list referred to in Article 3(2), the Commission shall draw up in accordance with Article 4(5) and (6) the list of the NUTS level III areas belonging to those regions which are to receive support from the Funds under Objective 1 on a transitional basis in 2006.

Usage examples

For three years from the first day of the month following that in which he ceases to hold office, a former member of the Commission or of the Court shall receive a monthly transitional allowance equal to 40 % of the basic salary which he was receiving when he ceased to hold office if he has served for less than two years, to 45 % of such basic salary if he has served for more than two but less than three years and to 50 % in other cases.
