1. ... all female animals suitable for milk production ... must therefore be registered and marked and their particulars entered on an identity card, by means of which it may be checked whether the use of the animal has been in accordance with the rules.
2. For the purposes of checking compliance with the obligations under the premium scheme, an identity card shall be issued in at least one original and one copy for each animal marked and registered in accordance with Article 5(1) (b).
