reflektoorse reaktsiooni intensiivsuse või esinemise tõenäosuse suurenemine, mis tuleneb varasemast kokkupuutest stiimuliga, mis seda reaktsiooni esile kutsub
an increase in the intensity or probability of a reflex response resulting from earlier exposure to a stimulus that elicits that response
Good to know
Sensitization produces the opposite effect of habituation. The sensitization effect is produced by exposing dogs to an intense sample of the unconditioned stimulus sufficient to elicit a startle or surprise reaction. Subsequent exposures to the unconditioned stimulus at lower intensities (perhaps previously ignored) will produce a noticeable increase in unconditioned response magnitude.
Science has examined many different types of learning that include: Habituation, sensitization, desensitization, positive reinforcement, positive punishment, negative reinforcement, negative punishment, extinction, imitation, mimicry, and social learning.
