An optoelectronic receiver capable of converting optical signals into radio frequency (RF) signals after transmission by means of carrier-current technology through a fibre optic cable trunk system. It is located in the transmission network of a cable TV system.
The RF output is used to serve several trunk lines in the local fibre service area.
