  • trimm - laeva asend vaikses vees. Trimmi iseloomustavad laeva süvis, diferent ja kreen. Kreeni ja diferendita laev on "tasasel kiilul". Kui ahtris on süvis suurem kui vööris, on laeval "diferent ahtrisse", kui vastupidi, siis "diferent vööri". Külje poole kaldunud laev on kreenis. Trimm ja selle muutumine mõjutavad laeva käikuvust, juhitavust jt mereomadusi.
