2. The lighter market is known to be very price sensitive. This means that faced with low priced dumped imports, the Community industry is either forced to lower its prices in order to try to maintain market share, production level and capacity utilisation, or set to lose market share if it tries to maintain its prices.
1. Capacity and Utilisation of capacity
The capacity utilisation rate increased from 66 % in 1992 to 73% in 1994, to drop to 71 during the investigation period. This drop coincided, however, with an increase in capacity.
