tilt rotor aircraft
tiltrotor aircraft
  • a rotorcraft with the axes of the power-driven proprotor blades capable of pivoting from vertical for vertical takeoff, landing, and hover operations to horizontal to derive lift from the wing in cruise
Hea teada
  • Valdkond ICAO lisade põhjal loodud klassifikaatori järgi: Õhusõidukid
kopterlennuk
Näited
  • Lisaks näeb Kevadtormi ajal Eesti taevas lendamas Poola ründelennukeid Su-22 ning Ühendriikide hävituslennukeid F15, transpordikoptereid CH-47 Chinook ning kopterlennukeid V-22 Osprey.

Näited
  • In a special category is the tilt-rotor aircraft, which can operate as a helicopter or rotate its engines and fly like a fixed-wing airplane. A modern example is the V-22 Osprey, jointly produced by Bell Helicopter Textron and Boeing as a military assault transport for the U.S. Marines.
  • The BA609 project concerns the development of a tilt-rotor aircraft, which is an aircraft that can take off and land as a helicopter and fly like an aeroplane. The rotors on the wings are placed vertically during take-off and landing and then horizontally during flight. It combines the flexibility of a helicopter in taking off and landing in small spaces with the capacity to fly longer distances at much higher speeds. At the same time, given its size and characteristics, compared with other helicopters, it still needs to land on prepared ground (cement platform) which means it is unsuitable for missions in the desert, or for landing on oil platforms.

  • püststartõhusõiduk, mille muudetava nurgaga rootor võimaldab tekitada nii tõste- kui tõukejõudu
  • vertical takeoff and landing aircraft lifted in the hovering mode by one or more rotors rotated through approximately 90 degrees for translational flight
Hea teada
  • Kopterlennukite puhul eristatakse ingliskeelses keskkonnas kahte erinevat tehnilist lahendust. Ühel juhul (tilt rotor) muudetakse fikseeritud tiiva küljes rootori asendit, teisel juhul (tilt wing) muutub rootori asend koos tiibade liigutamisega.
