Fikseeritud mahuga kolbmahumõõtevahendi puhul on valitud maht võrdne nimimahuga.
Muutmahuga kolbmahumõõtevahendite korral tuleb neid katsetada vähemalt järgmisel kolmel valitud mahul: nimimaht, 50 % nimimahust või sellele lähim võimalik maht ja kasutatava mahuvahemiku alumine piir või 10 % nimimahust.
For a fixed-volume piston-operated volumetric apparatus, the selected volume is equal to the nominal volume.
For a variable-volume pistonoperated volumetric apparatus, at least the following three test volumes shall be tested: nominal volume, 50 % of the nominal volume, or the closest possible, and the lower limit of the useable volume range or 10 % of the nominal volume.
