Good to know
Current intelligence reflects the current situation at either strategic or tactical level. It should tell the decision-maker why it is relevant (the so what factor) and include predictive assessment. It can offer greater granularity than basic intelligence, but is normally a time sensitive snapshot and is perishable. Intelligence reports and summaries provide current intelligence to the Common Operational Picture (COP) and predictions for possible developments.
