Pressurized water cisterns for potable water must operate only on compressed air of natural composition. If the compressed air is obtained from pressurized receptacles used to operate the vessel or for other purposes, or produced by means of compressors, an air filter or oil separator must be installed directly in front of the pressurized water cistern unless the water and the air are separated by diaphragms.
