Pa
  • rõhu ja mehaanilise pinge erinimetusega SI tuletatud ühiku nimetus/tähis
  • name/symbol of the SI derived unit with special name for pressure and stress
paskal
Usage examples
  • Paskal, tähis Pa, on rõhuühik rahvusvahelises mõõtühikute süsteemis SI ning seda kasutatakse siserõhu, mehaanilise pinge, Youngi mooduli ja maksimaalse tõmbetugevuse väljendamiseks. Blaise Pascali järgi nimetatud ühik on SI-süsteemiga kooskõlas olev tuletatud ühik, mis on defineeritud kui üks njuuton ruutmeetri kohta (N/m²).
Good to know
  • Paskal on põhiühikute kaudu on määratud valemiga Pa = kg⋅m−1⋅s−2.
Pa symbol
Usage examples
  • 1 Pa = 1 N/m2.
pascal
Usage examples
  • The pascal, symbol Pa, is the unit of pressure in the International System of Units (SI), and used to quantify internal pressure, stress, Young's modulus, and ultimate tensile strength. The unit, named after Blaise Pascal, is an SI coherent derived unit defined as one newton per square metre (N/m2).
Good to know
  • Pascal is defined in terms of SI base units by the unit equation Pa := kg ⋅ m−1 ⋅ s−2
Pa symbol
Usage examples
  • 1 Pa = 1 N/m2.
