The MD4 is the current Handheld Metal Detector used by the British Army and is specifically designed for IED and EOD operations although it may be used effectively in mine clearance. The MD4 is unique in it's construction. All electronics, controls, detection head and batteries are contained within a hand held probe. The unit is extremely sensitive and easy to use. It has only two operating buttons, ON/ZERO and OFF.
