In the design, construction or reconstruction of accommodation for fattening bulls, endeavours should be made to develop and apply husbandry systems which are likely to prevent injuries, allow for behavioural needs and, in particular, provide suitable flooring especially in the light of available scientific knowledge on the comparison between bedded and slatted lying areas.
