The activities financed under this Regulation shall mainly take the form of technical assistance, training, institution-building, information, seminars, studies, projects for investment in micro-enterprises, small and medium-sized undertakings and infrastructures and action designed to highlight the Community nature of the assistance.
Where it is necessary to distinguish microenterprises from other SMEs, these are defined as enterprises having fewer than 10 employees.
Micro-businesses operate within frameworks of entrepreneurism, family, and community, unlike those of small and medium businesses.
