  • Kõrgtööd on kõige laiem mõiste, mida saab kasutada igasuguste kõrgustes tehtavate tööde kohta. Lisaks alpinistlikule meetodile saab kõrgtöid teostada näiteks rippkorvist, tõstuki pealt, katusepinnalt või redelilt. “Kõrgtöö” iseloomustab vaid seda, et töö asub maapinnast vähemalt 2 m kõrgemal ja selle teostamisel on kukkumisoht, kuid ei kirjelda tehtavat tööd ennast. Kõrgtööks loetakse muide ka tööd sügavustes ehk allpool maapinda, kui töötajal on sügavamale kukkumise risk (samuti alates 2-meetrisest kõrguste vahest).
