clearance of goods for home use free of import, duties and taxes, irrespective of their normal tariff classification or normal liability, provided that they are imported in specified circumstances and for specified purposes
1. The measures intended to offset, as regards the supply of certain agricultural products, the geographical situation of the Azores and Madeira consist of exemption from import duties (customs duties and agricultural levies) and the grant of aid to encourage the delivery of agricultural products from the Community.
2. Certain agricultural products exempted from import levies are already subject to the issue of an import licence.
3. The Customs Tariff of the European Communities shall comprise: ... (f) autonomous suspensive measures providing for a reduction in or relief from import duties chargeable on certain goods; (g) other tariff measures provided for by other Community legislation.
